Description

This track displays simple tandem repeats (possibly imperfect repeats) on the 28 Jul 2017 Dioscorea cayenensis subsp. rotundata/GCA_002240015.2_TDr96_F1_Pseudo_Chromosome_v1.0/GCA_002240015.2 genome assembly, located by Tandem Repeats Finder (TRF) which is specialized for this purpose. These repeats can occur within coding regions of genes and may be quite polymorphic. Repeat expansions are sometimes associated with specific diseases.

There are 174,614 items in the track covering 14,545,025 bases, assembly size 456,674,974 bases, percent coverage % 3.18.

Methods

For more information about the TRF program, see Benson (1999).
